Epidermal Leveling (also known as Dermaplaning)

Epidermal leveling is a noninvasive exfoliation procedure using a specially designed scalpel to remove the outermost layer of dead skin cells and fine vellus hair. It leaves your skin feeling softer, smoother, and more vibrant. Benefits include: enhanced penetration of products, smoother makeup application and appearance, improved skin texture, brighter complexion, possible reduction of acne and lessened appearance of acne scars, no down time-you may resume normal activities immediately, and it is pregnancy and nursing safe. Although Simply Skin Sanctuary does have pregnancy & nursing safe exfoliation products/techniques, epidermal leveling is a great alternative for the mom-to-be or nursing mom that is in need of extra exfoliation!
* This is not a permanent hair removal service, so it is recommended to have this done every 4-6 weeks.
* Epidermal Leveling may be added on to the Custom Facial (Maintenance Facial), the Deluxe Facial, the Golden Girl's Facial , or the Golden Guy's Facial for a discounted rate.

* A stand-alone Epidermal Leveling treatment (as opposed to added on with a facial) includes a double cleanse, enzyme peel, moisturizer, and sun protection.

Microdermabrasion

This is a minimally invasive procedure that utilizes a hand-held device to manually, but gently, “sand” away (exfoliate) the outer layer of dead skin cells. Microdermabrasion can be used to treat uneven skin tone and texture, photoaging, melasma, and scars (including acne scars). This treatment can be done any time of the year. Since chemical peels require as minimal sun exposure post-peel as possible, microdermabrasion is a great alternative during the summer months.
* Because of the skin cell cycle, this procedure may need to be repeated but no sooner than every 4 weeks.
* Microdermabrasion may be added on to the Custom Facial (Maintenance Facial), the Golden Girl's Facial, the Golden Guy's Facial, or the Purifying Back Facial for a discounted rate.

* A stand-alone Microdermabrasion treatment (as opposed to added on with a facial) includes a double cleanse, masque, moisturizer, and sun protection.

Nano Infusion

Nano Infusion is a noninvasive skin treatment using a hand-held device (pen) that creates micro-channels in the epidermis of the skin to improve product absorption and treat skin conditions. Nano infusion is similar to microneedling but is needleless and does not penetrate as deeply into the skin, so it does not require any downtime. Nano infusion can help stimulate blood circulation, hydrate the skin, soften lines, reduce scarring, and brighten the skin. The type of serum used with Nano Infusion would be based on your skin type and what your skin needs consist of.
* Because Nano Infusion is gentler than microneedling, it may be performed every 1-3 weeks.
* Nano Infusion may be added on to the Custom Facial (Maintenance Facial), the Golden Girl's Facial, the Golden Guy's Facial, or the Purifying Back Facial for a discounted rate.

* A stand-alone Nano Infusion treatment (as opposed to added on with a facial) includes a double cleanse, exfoliation, application of a serum with the Nano Infusion pen, masque, moisturizer, and sun protection.

Chemical Peel

A chemical peel is a procedure that involves applying a chemical (potentially more than one layer) to help remove the outermost layer(s) of dead skin cells. Chemical peels are completely custom to you and your skin concerns. There are different types of chemical peels (consisting of different types of acids or a combination of acids) that can be used based on the concerns you have and your skin condition(s). Chemical peels can help improve skin texture and tone and aid in lessening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. They can help address pigmentation and/or sun damage, acne, and dryness. Because of downtime, chemical peels are best in the fall and winter months when sun exposure is at a minimum. A series of chemical peels may be necessary to fully address your skin concerns.

* At Simply Skin Sanctuary, we treat chemical peels as a stand-alone treatment. To keep skin reactions to a minimum, we prefer to offer this only between facial appointments and not as an add-on to any facial or any other skin treatment. A chemical peel may be added to the Purifying Back Facial if warranted.
* Chemical peels require a patch test to check for any sensitivity/allergic reaction to the peel chemical(s). The process may require building up your skin's tolerance to receiving a chemical peel and may require multiple visits before actually receiving a full chemical peel.
* The price is for a chemical peel includes treatment of the face only-please ask for additional prices if you are interested in including the neck, décolleté, and/or back.
* Our price includes a post-peel home recovery kit that includes all the products you will need to use at home after receiving a chemical peel from us.

BioRePeelCl3® Chemical Peel

BioRePeelCl3® is an Italian medical peel intended for strong skin bio-stimulation and hydration without the strong exfoliating effect many peels have, making this treatment right for many different types of skin. BioRePeelCl3® is a two-phase patented chemical peel based on a combination of amino acids, acids, vitamins, and GABA (Gamma-aminobutyric acid). GABA penetrates the skin very quickly to effectively loosen and relax the muscles, thus contributing to the reduction of fine expression lines and the minimization of wrinkles. The special formulation of this peel accelerates regeneration while increasing cellular turnover, stimulates fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin fibers, thickens the layers of “living” cells in the skin, strengthens corneocyte connections, and restores the correct balance in the skin. This product is dedicated primarily for aging skin, skin with signs of sun/photo-damage, acne in the active phase, and skin exposed to pollution from the external environment. This peel can be performed at any time of the year, it causes minimal discomfort, and there is no significant downtime.
* Just like traditional chemical peels, we treat this as a stand-alone service and there are no add-ons available with a BioRePeelCl3® chemical peel.
* A series of treatments (at least four treatments) is recommended for most clients.
* The price is for this peel includes the treatment of the face only-please ask for additional prices if you are interested in including the neck, décolleté, and/or back.

Enzyme Peel

Application of an enzyme or a fruit acid peel is similar to a chemical peel but enzyme peels use natural fruit enzymes (instead of acids) that digest dead skin cells while simultaneously promoting cellular turnover and nourishing the skin to reveal a brighter, healthier complexion. Fruit enzymes have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which benefit the skin beyond just exfoliation. Enzyme peels are gentle enough for sensitive skin and can be used on pregnant or nursing clients. Enzyme peels require no downtime (making them great for the spring and summer months) but can yield immediate results.
Benefits of an enzyme peel include:
-
Aid in the opening the pores for easier extractions which, in turn, facilitates the removal of excess sebum and debris to help reduce the appearance of large pores
-
Removal of dry, flaky skin
-
Minimizing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and scars
-
Reduction of dullness, age spots, hyperpigmentation, sun damage and redness
-
Enhancement of overall skin radiance
-
Unlike traditional chemical peels, they are a much gentler form of exfoliation so they may be used in tandem with other skin services and can be used during the summer months

Microcurrent

A microcurrent treatment uses a noninvasive cosmetic device that utilizes low-level electrical currents to stimulate the face's muscles and tissues. This is also considered "facial toning" because it is compared similarly to a workout for your face.
The treatment is designed to improve the appearance of the skin by:
-
Improving muscle function
-
Repairing damaged skin
-
Reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
-
Firming skin
-
Defining features
-
Boosting circulation
-
Toning muscles
-
Promoting collagen production
-
Reducing inflammation
* To achieve the best results, it is recommended to have a series of treatments done and then regular maintenance. The number of treatments varies depending upon your skin's muscle tone - each time microcurrent is done, the results are better and will start to last longer. A series of treatments should be performed every few years to maintain results. If you are in your 30's, microcurrent is recommended every 4-5 weeks; 40's every 3-4 weeks; and 50's + every 3 weeks. Most people achieve the ultimate results with 10-12 treatments. You can add this service to a few of our facials but if you are seriously considering a series, we can create a custom package and price to help save you some money-please contact us if you are interested in a series.

High Frequency

High frequency is a noninvasive therapy that uses a glass electrode to pass over the skin that is filled with neon and/or argon gas. A mild electrical current passes through the glass electrode, causing it to emit a subtle glow and buzzing noise. During the high frequency treatment, enriched oxygen molecules are produced that create an antibacterial action and a “natural” thermal tissue warming. This reaction helps your blood vessels push away toxins, while the cells in your skin are enriched with nutrients and hydrating volume. This in turn creates an increase in blood circulation and cell renewal that supports increased levels of collagen and elastin. The skin is left feeling instantly energized and noticeably softer after just one treatment.
